Ramallah Doc 2019
Ramallah Doc 2019 invites Palestinian filmmakers to apply for its 7th edition. Ramallah Doc provides an exceptional opportunity for selected applicants to meet with international film producers and TV representatives to present their films in a pitching session, followed by one-to-one meetings. The pitching will take place in Ramallah in October 2019 during the Palestine Cinema Days Festival.
The selected filmmakers will then be invited to participate in a series of preparatory workshops, including production (July), trailer editing (August–September), and pitching techniques (September).
Applying for Ramallah Doc 2019
Eligible applicants can be professional directors, or newcomers with a concrete idea for a documentary film project and an action plan for its implementation. Applicants are welcome to submit any visual material in support of their application . Projects may be presented at any stage of production, regardless of format or style. Interested candidates should submit their completed application form and a recent biography to [email protected] no later than July 3rd 2019.
About Ramallah Doc
Established in 2009, Ramallah Doc is an opportunity for Palestinian documentary filmmakers to build their capacities, and develop new ideas and pitch them to a forum of international film producers, TV representatives, commissioning editors, and representatives from TV and various film foundations. Every year, the jury of Ramallah Doc selects up to 15 projects to participate in the pitching session. So far Ramallah Doc has succeeded in matching several Palestinian filmmakers with international commissioning editors and production companies to develop and implement their film projects, in addition to assisting many Palestinian directors secure pre-buy deals and post-production.
