Call for Submissions - Rules and Regulations
Palestine Cinema Days Festival announces the call for feature-length documentaries and short films to participate in the Palestinian Sunbird Award competitions at the 6th edition of the festival (October 2-9, 2019).
Two independent international juries will announce the winners of the Palestinian Sunbird Awards during the Closing Ceremony of Palestine Cinema Days on October 9, 2019.
To be eligible, films and projects must comply with the following regulations:
Regulations of the Palestinian Sunbird Award Competition / Feature-Length Documentary Films:
- Year of completion: 2017-2019
- Minimum length: 40 minutes
- Genre: documentary films
- Connection to Palestine must be visible, e.g. director/producer from Palestine, film set in Palestine or clear thematic reference to Palestine
Regulations of the Palestinian Sunbird Award Competition / Short Films:
- Year of completion: 2017-2019
- Maximum length: 30 minutes
- Accepted are films of any genre, e.g. fiction, documentary, experimental and animation films
- Connection to Palestine must be visible, e.g. director/producer from Palestine, film set in Palestine or clear thematic reference to Palestine
Submission deadline: August 5, 2019
The selected films will be announced on the 20th August.
