Filmlab Palestine supports production by cultivating a strong network of filmmakers, and providing competitive opportunities for seed-funding and coaching for filmmakers to produce film art.
Films are produced either within themed initiatives:
Reflections from Palestine during COVID-19
A collection of voices from Palestinian filmmakers on exceptional experiences and a testimony of a particular time that simultaneously speaks to a feeling understood worldwide. The films display personal film languages and reach out to collective stories expressing Palestine's diversity and a broad span of emotions: from boredom to enjoyment, anger, fear, confusion, and complexities of quarantine days. What started as an intimate journey of observation and reflection is not only a metaphor and snapshot of a time shaped by COVID- 19 but turned out to be an artistic visual representation and interpretation of a further escalation of the political situation in Palestine.

Ghazawyat
Ghazawyat, meaning "women from Gaza," highlights the often-overlooked impact of war on women, addressing displacement and systemic rights violations while honoring their resilience. Through personal stories of survival, the project aims to raise awareness and drive change. In partnership with grassroots filmmakers and women’s groups, Ghazawyat will create 4-5 influential short films that respect the dignity and privacy of the women involved, empowering them to control their narratives. By leveraging social media platforms and human rights festivals, the project seeks to amplify these stories globally, sparking discussions on violence against women in conflict zones. It also supports young filmmakers in Gaza, nurturing their creativity in a region where freedom of expression is constantly threatened.
